Pontiac Grand Am GT
The Pontiac Grand Am GT was the sportier edition of Pontiac Grand Am models.
Along with SE2, it has standard 3.4-liter V6 that made 170-horsepower, a sole
transmission of a 4-speed automatic, antilock brakes and traction control. However,
GT handles crisply during sudden changes in direction but tends to jolt and thump
more over bumps.
The GT comes with aero body extensions with rear deck spoiler, a 3.1L 155 hp
V6 engine, an aluminum wheels and performance tires. It also comes standard with
a High-Output, double-overhead- cam version of the Quad 4. This pumps out 180
at 6200 rpm and 160 pound-feet of torque at 5200 rpm. In 1993, GT has undergone
engineering changes which resulted loosing five 5 horsepower in all three 4-cylinder
engines.

Since 1993, several changes had taken place with each GT models coming out every
year. But the most distinctive changes that have taken place are the replacement
of engine models each year. In the GT edition of a Sedan, a more torque other
than any sedan in its class is its standout offer. But not to worry, it comes
with a heavy-duty 4-speed automatic transmission to handle all the power it needed.
Being the ultimate performer, Grand Am GT boasts a 175 hp 3.4 L 3400 Ram Air
V6 engine that goes along with an SFI or Sequential Fuel Injection, 4-wheel ABS
brakes and 4-wheel sport suspension. Grand Am GT, be it a coupe or a sedan, is
said to dial up sport as it also dials in the performance while staying tuned
to your lifestyle.
