2002 Pontiac Grand Am
In the 2002 edition of the Grand Am, there are several detail changes. These
changes included the revision of the wheel design and the GT models comes with
a standard 16-inch painted aluminum wheels. The painted wheels can be upgraded
to a 16-inch Chrome Tech aluminum wheel design.New feature this year is the availability
of the OnStar vehicle communications system. Revision also includes color choices
with the deletion of Navy Blue and Spruce green and the addition of Polo Green
in turn. They still come in metallic colors.
The GT1 and the GT models of the 2002 Grand Am feature a 175-hp Ram Air V6 engine
that is matched to a four-speed automatic. In addition, a new 2.2 L Twin-Cam 16V
four-cylinder replaces the 2001's 2.4 L Twin-Cam engine. All of 2002's model still
features a standard four-wheel anti-lock brakes, driver and passenger air bags.
2002 Grand Am still comes with a 107.0, wheelbase, a cargo capacity of 14 cu.
ft., overall length of 186.3" and a seating capacity of 5 both for standard and
maximum.
